Development of Resources  (संसाधनों का विकास )
*  Resources are free gifts of Nature . As a result, human beings utilised them indiscriminately and this has led vast problems .
ऐसा विश्वास किया जाता है कि संसाधन प्रकृति की देन है , परिणामस्वरूप मानव ने इनका अंधाधुंध उपयोग किया है , जिससे कई समस्याएं पैदा हो गयी है |
Major Problems ( मुख्य समस्या )
*  Accumulation of resources in few hands , which , in turn, divided the society into haves and have nots and poor and rich .
संसाधन समाज के कुछ ही लोगों के हाथ  में आ गए है, जिससे समाज दो हिस्सों  अमीर और गरीब में विभाजित हो गयी ,
*. Depletion of the resources for meeting the greed of few individuals .
कुछ व्यक्तियों के लालचवश संसाधनों का ह्रास
*. Indiscriminate use of resources has led to global ecological crises such as global warming, ozone layer depletion , pollution ,land degradation .
संसाधनों के अंधाधुंध शोषण से वैश्विक पारिस्थितिकी संकट पैदा हो गया है जो भूमण्डलीय तापन , ओजोन पार्ट अवक्षय , प्रदूषण , और भूमि निम्नीकरण |
Need of Sustainable Development सतत पोषनीय विकास  की आवश्यकताएं 
*  The Resource planning  is essential for sustainable existence for all life-forms .
जीवन का अस्तित्व बनाए रखने के लिए संसाधनों का नियोजन आवश्यक है
*  Sustainable economic Development implies " development should take place without damaging environment, and development in the present should not comprise with needs of the future generations".
सतत पोषनीय आर्थिक विकास  का मतलब है की विकास पर्यावरण को बिना नुकसान पहुंचाए हो और वर्तमान विकास की प्रक्रिया भविष्य की पीढ़ियों की आवश्यकता की अवहेलना न करें |  

*  More than 100 heads if states met in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil in  June 1992 , for the purpose of environmental protection and socio-economic development at the global level.
जून 1992 में 100 से भी अधिक राष्ट्राध्यक्ष ब्राजील के राजधानी रियो डी जेनेरो में मिले और विश्व स्तर पर उभरते पर्यावरण संरक्षण और सामाजिक -आर्थिक विकास की समस्याओं का हल ढूंढा जाएं |

* Adopted Agenda-21 to achieve sustainable development and to combat the environmental damage , poverty, diseases at global level.
 सतत पोषनीय विकास के लिए एजेंडा  -21 स्वीकृति प्रदान की गयी और वैश्विक स्तर पर पर्यावरणीय क्षय , गरीबी , बीमारी से निपटा जाए | 

Need of Resource Planning  संसाधन नियोजन की आवश्यकता
*  Planning required good strategies of judious use of the resources .
संसाधनों के न्योयचित उपयोग के लिए नियोजन एक सर्वमान्य रणनीति है |
*  There are regions which are rich in particular resources and some areas that are deficient in some resources.
यहाँ ऐसे भी प्रदेश है जहां एक तरह के संसाधनों की प्रचुरता है ,परन्तु दूसरे तरह के संसाधनों की कमी  है |
*  Arunachal Pradesh has abundance of water resources but suffers in infrastructural development.
अरुणाचल प्रदेश में जल संसाधन प्रचुर संसाधन है परन्तु मूल विकास की कमी है |
*  Rajsthan is very well endowed with wind and solar energy but lacks in water resources .
राजस्थान में पवन और सौर ऊर्जा की बहुतायत है लेकिन जल संसाधन की कमी है |

* This calls for balanced resource planning at the national, state , regional and local levels .

इसलिए राष्ट्रीय , प्रांतीय , प्रादेशिक और स्थानीय स्तर पर संतुलित संसाधन  नियोजन की आवश्यकता है |
